Shipping Policy

Every knife on this site is hand-forged in Jonesborough, Tennessee by Jason Lowe. Please read this policy before ordering, since a handmade shop ships a little differently than a warehouse does.

Made-to-Order Lead Times

Most knives are forged and finished after you order, not pulled from a shelf. Current lead time runs about 2 to 4 weeks before your order ships, depending on order volume and how detailed the piece is (stabilized wood, antler, or leather sheath work can add time). If a piece is already finished and ready to ship, your confirmation email will say so. If your order is going to take longer than the current estimate, we will email you with an update.

How We Ship

Orders ship from Tennessee via USPS or UPS, whichever fits the package best. You will get a shipping confirmation email with tracking the day your knife goes out.

Domestic Shipping (United States)

We ship to all 50 states. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Someone 18 or older must be available to receive knife shipments, and a signature may be required on higher-value orders.

International Shipping

We're happy to ship outside the United States. A few things to know before you order:

• You, the buyer, are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged by your country. These are collected by your local customs office or carrier and are not included in your order total.
• Knife import rules vary widely by country, and some countries restrict or ban certain blade styles entirely. It is your responsibility to confirm that the knife you're ordering can legally be imported into your country before you place your order. We are not able to issue refunds for packages seized or returned by customs.
• International lead times include the forging time above, plus international transit, which can add another 1 to 4 weeks depending on destination and customs processing.

Know Your Local Knife Laws

Knife laws (blade length limits, restricted styles such as daggers, carry rules) differ by state, county, and country, and they change from time to time. This isn't legal advice, so please check the current laws where you live before ordering, especially for fixed-blade hunting knives, daggers, or tomahawks. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from Tavern Hill Blades.

Lost or Delayed Packages

Once a package is scanned as delivered by the carrier, we consider the order fulfilled. If tracking shows a delay or your package appears lost, email us at tavernhillblades@yahoo.com with your order number and we will help you file a claim with the carrier.
